I have always looked at Pinterest boards to decide the lighting of my home. And one the importance that they give to is the corners. Lighting dark corners, adding luminance to your room.
The secret to ambient lighting is adequately lit up corners. You must have seen those huge floor lamps that are available on many websites. They light up the room and act as a reading light as well. This was an ambient aesthetic that I wished to add to my living room.
