We are all children of God. Young or old, rich or poor, all have the same right to enjoy the blessings of Jesus. I genuinely believe in equality, but our society has created a lot of partitions amongst us. I live in an old Christian colony in Kerala. This house was owned by my father and now I and my husband live here. All the small houses are now renovated into big beautiful bungalows in these last 10 years, including ours.
But there is one house owned by Maria Aunty is still the same, old and small. Maria auntie was a good friend to my mom and she often used to prepare cakes and cookies for all the kids in the society during Christmas. I used to feel bad when the same kids, now grown up, used to talk evil about her and her old house. She was no more given respect from those people. So I decided to help auntie gain her respect back this Christmas.
I decided to purchase a beautiful gift for Maria auntie this Christmas and make everyone realize her importance back. I had a lot of pictures of my childhood Christmas events. Auntie Maria has again become popular in the society. A constant glow on her face with the newfound affection looks beautiful. She told me that she had placed that lamp next to her bed. Every night she feels the presence of all of us next to her, ensuring her safety and helping her old eyes get a sound sleep.
